Welcome to Cumberland Internal Medicine! Just as the Ten Commandments were given for our benefit, we are issuing our own ten commandments to help you plan your healthcare related issues more efficiently.

 

1. Thou shalt bring medications to all of your visits.

2. Thou shalt receive a courtesy call within one or two days to remind you of your appointment.

3. Thou shalt give us 24 hrs. notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Thou shalt be charged $25.00 if you cancel the same day as your appointment.

4. Thou shalt give us 48 hrs. notice to process a referral and 72 hrs. to process a pre-certification.

5. Thou shalt give 48 hrs. notice to process prescriptions. Thou may call in your prescriptions day or evening by calling the office at 856-794-8700 and selecting prompt 3.

6. Thou shalt receive an appointment within 24 to 48 hrs. for a new or acute problem.

7. Thou shalt contact us if you are interested in your test results. It is the policy of this practice to only notify patients of labs or x-ray results that significantly impact upon the management of their healthcare.

8. Thou should understand that when you call the nurse, the response time will be dictated by the seriousness of the illness or problem.

9. Thou shall turn your cell phones off while in the exam rooms.

10. Thou shalt exercise your right to choose to any insurance. However, we no longer accept new patients with Horizon HMO or NJ Plus Insurance.
